COR
Annual Meeting and Publications
The annual meeting, the industry operations report, standard implementation guidance and the case collection; the report is published free of charge so organisations can see where they stand relative to the industry, and the case collection particularly encourages failures.
Annual Meeting
Held once a year, with an agenda covering review of standard revisions, discussion of member motions, review of the certification scheme, and technical sessions articulating with the VIN Institute's symposium. Some sessions are open to non-members, to lower the barrier to understanding how the Council works.
Industry Operations Report
Published annually, covering the statistical distribution of maturity assessments (presented in de-identified form), the most common kinds of gap in each domain, the state of standards adoption, and the failure modes worth noting that year.
The report is published free of charge, so that organisations can see where they stand relative to the industry.
Standard Implementation Guidance and Case Collection
The standards themselves are kept concise and do not prescribe a way of implementing; the guidance provides concrete worked approaches. The two are deliberately kept apart, so that no particular implementation is mistaken for part of the standard.
The case collection gathers adoption experience volunteered by members, covering both successes and failures — and the Council particularly encourages the inclusion of failures.
